System Pricing

Honest heating & cooling system pricing

The truthful answer is a range that depends on your home — not a teaser number. Here's how Good, Better, and Best tiers work, what moves your quote, and how rebates change the math.

(360) 944-8616

Every installed system price comes down to two things: the equipment tier you choose (efficiency and staging) and the condition of your home (ductwork, electrical, venting, access). Anyone who quotes a firm price without seeing your home is guessing — so instead of invented numbers, this page shows you exactly what drives the cost, and we put a real number in writing after a free look at your home.

Quote education

What actually moves your quote

Whatever the system, these six factors decide where your installed price lands — and a fair quote itemizes every one of them in writing.

01

Home size & heat load

We run a real load calculation — square footage, insulation, windows, orientation — so the system is sized right. Oversized equipment short-cycles and costs more twice: at install and every month after.

02

Ductwork condition

Leaky, undersized, or aging ducts can quietly sabotage a new system. Sealing or resizing adds honest cost up front and pays it back in comfort and bills — we test instead of guessing.

03

Efficiency tier

AFUE, SEER2, and HSPF2 ratings are the biggest equipment lever: higher-efficiency systems cost more to buy and less to run. We'll show you the tradeoff for your usage, not a one-size answer.

04

Electrical & venting work

Heat-pump conversions sometimes need panel or circuit work; high-efficiency furnaces vent differently than old 80% units. We flag any of this in the quote — never as a surprise on install day.

05

Install complexity & access

Tight crawlspaces, attic air handlers, long line-set runs, and custom sheet metal (fabricated in our own shop) add real labor hours — quoted line by line, not as a mystery adder.

06

Permits & code compliance

A legitimate installation in Washington or Oregon is permitted and inspected. If a quote looks cheap because it skips the permit, it isn't cheap — it's a problem you'll meet again at resale.

System pricing FAQs

Why don't you list exact system prices online? +

Because an honest number depends on your home. Two identical furnaces can carry very different installed prices once ductwork condition, venting, electrical work, and sizing are factored in. Anyone quoting a firm price without seeing your home is guessing — we'd rather measure, then put a real number in writing. Call (360) 944-8616 for today's system pricing.

What do Good, Better, and Best actually mean? +

They're equipment tiers, not quality-of-work tiers — every install gets the same licensed crew and workmanship. Good is reliable single-stage equipment at federal-minimum efficiency; Better adds two-stage operation and higher efficiency for lower bills; Best is variable-speed, top-efficiency equipment with the quietest, most precise comfort. Best isn't automatically best for you — a Good-tier unit can be the genuinely right call for a rental or short ownership horizon, and we'll say so.

What's included in a Home Energy Group quote? +

A load calculation to size the system correctly, the equipment tier options that fit your home, all labor and materials, permit and inspection costs, and any ductwork, venting, or electrical scope — itemized in writing before work starts. No mystery adders on install day.

Are rebates available on new systems? +

Yes — qualifying gas furnace installations currently earn rebates of up to $1,600, and we confirm eligibility and file the paperwork for you. Utility programs in Washington and Oregon change over time, so we check what applies to your specific project as part of the quote.

Can I finance a new HVAC system? +

Flexible financing on approved credit is available — ask us what's available for your project when you call. Terms vary by lender and qualifying purchase, and we'll walk you through the options alongside your written quote.

How do I keep my new system running like new? +

Regular maintenance. Our Basic maintenance plan starts at $195 per year and covers an annual tune-up and inspection, priority scheduling, and member discounts on repairs — and keeping documented maintenance also protects most manufacturer warranties.
